This is an original artwork by Mei Li.  It is an abstract portrayal of the effects of Chinese medical treatment -- energetic binds and knots in the body being freed, giving way to better circulation of energy, freedom from disease, and increased well-being.

What else can Chinese medicine do?

  • Preventive medicine for maintaining wellness
  • Enhances athletic performance
  • Assists in recovery from stroke (motor, speech, and brain function, etc.)
  • Relieve side effects of conventional cancer treatment
  • Adjunctive treatment for cancer (in conjunction with conventional cancer treatment)
  • Allow breech babies to go back to optimal position
  • Assist in promoting timely labor
  • Controls addictions and minimizes withdrawal symptoms (helps to stop smoking, quit alcohol, etc.)
  • Facial rejuvenation

Because Chinese medicine is largely based on the concept of qi (life force energy), we're also able to treat health problems that are not detected by X-rays, MRIs, CTs, or blood tests, etc. Some health problems are caused by a mild imbalance of the qi (energy) in the channels--such as stagnation, qi moving too slowly or too quickly, or qi moving in the wrong direction--and the imbalance has not yet caused physical changes detectable by modern diagnostic imaging or blood tests. We believe that once an illness shows up on modern diagnostic tests it usually means the disease has already reached a more advanced stage and is therefore relatively harder to treat.

At Oahu Acupuncture and Herbs, we also treat a wide range of other health problems within the scope of Chinese medicine. They include, but are not limited to, other conditions listed below.
