Conditions Treated
Acupuncture works with your
body's energy to promote healing while inducing
relaxation
Needles are inserted into key points
to activate your body's own
healing
mechanism
Moxibustion is the burning
of an herb called mugwort, rolled up into a cigar-like stick, and
held close to the skin at appropriate acupuncture
points.
Cupping draws out toxins
lodged in the body tissues and brings new blood and energy into the
area
This is an original artwork by Mei Li. It is an abstract portrayal of the effects of Chinese medical treatment -- energetic binds and knots in the body being freed, giving way to better circulation of energy, freedom from disease, and increased well-being.
The wonderful effects of
acupuncture facials compound over time.

What else can Chinese medicine do?
Because Chinese medicine is largely based on the concept of qi (life force energy), we're also able to treat health problems that are not detected by X-rays, MRIs, CTs, or blood tests, etc. Some health problems are caused by a mild imbalance of the qi (energy) in the channels--such as stagnation, qi moving too slowly or too quickly, or qi moving in the wrong direction--and the imbalance has not yet caused physical changes detectable by modern diagnostic imaging or blood tests. We believe that once an illness shows up on modern diagnostic tests it usually means the disease has already reached a more advanced stage and is therefore relatively harder to treat.
At Oahu Acupuncture and Herbs, we also treat a wide range of other health problems within the scope of Chinese medicine. They include, but are not limited to, other conditions listed below.
